Waynesburg University Challenge
$125 SCHOLARSHIPS for taking up this challenge
We’re recruiting students at Waynesburg University. By completing this “discipleship challenge” you’ll earn a $125 scholarship that you can use in one of three ways:
1. The Jubilee conference in February.
2. An upcoming Waynesburg University mission trip ·
3. Perhaps you would just like the cash. Lol.
How much time will this challenge take? It will take 5-6 hours to complete the 10 sessions which includes some reflection time from you.
THERE ARE FOUR GOALS.
1. That you will begin to "see" your current relationships more like God sees them. And once this happens, we ask that you’ll prayerfully discover how God wants to use you in those relationships.
1ST COR. 5:16 So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer... 19b And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation... 20a We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.
2. Next, we want to invite you to live in more intentional relationships. First with God, and also with a few others that includes some accountability with peers or mentors. Many of you are already living in this kind of deeper community.
3. We also want you to explore the idea of integrating your major (and your future vocation) with your faith, and with God’s call on your life. The CCO's mission is "Transforming College Students to Transform the World." This task also needs to be guided by God's Spirit, and a few caring mentors.
4. In Session 5, we ask you to review several different areas to grow your discipleship. You'll be working on some of these for the rest of your life and we want you to select a few now. Then together, we'll help you decide a game plan on how to move forward.
The ten sessions are located under the "Getting Started" tab. They will each take 25-35 minutes. After each session, you'll be asked to REPORT IN by commenting on some reflection questions. These are at the bottom of each session along with an easy contact form. Ideally, we would like you to be doing this challenge with one or two other friends. We think you'll get more out of this by either going through the sessions together or discussing some of the topics together. In fact, If you do FIND A PARTNER, we will increase your scholarships to $150 each. But to get it, you have to give Chuck the code words "Chaplain Jarrett." Lol.
